Joe is a 33 year old father and fiance. In November of 2012, Joe had a massive stroke which put him in a coma for over 3 months. Shenell his fiance stood by his side and continued to believe in him despite what the doctors were saying. Shenell was told by the doctors that Joe was not going to make it, and if he did he would be either a vegetable or mentally challenged. Joe has since then proved every doctor wrong and is now awake and a fighter. Joe is alert and can communicate by nodding his head yes or no, he has a treach in his throat for him to breath with the help of machines and still can not move from the shoulders down. Joe is in a long term care skilled nursing facility and Shenell is at home raising there 3 children alone while taking care of Joe full time. I am starting this fundraiser to help Joe and his family with any personal items Joe might need and also help Joe and Shenell with raising there 3 children while he is on a hopeful road to full recovery.

You fucking take my childhood friend away from me.
