Help Jobbie in her fight against Sacrococcygeal Teratoma. April 10, 2021 Jobbie, 3 years old, could not pee or poop prompting us to seek medical help. Jobbie had been having long term constipation and she looked so bloated. We could also feel a lump in the lower part in the middle section of her tummy. Due to covid hospitals and clinics avoid physical consultation on their patients. Abdominal ultrasound was ordered, seeing that all organs were normal aside from a very full bladder. An indwelling Foley Catheter had been placed to aid her in voiding, while waiting for further imaging schedule to given. We tried bladder training her but it was not working, making us all curious of what is causing it.
She was scheduled to undergo MRI with sedation on May 4, 2021. The MRI result had given the doctor a diagnosis—Sacrococcygeal Teratoma. The tumor has already compressed some of her nerves and it is still growing. The MRI also showed metastasis on nodes. Jobbie had visited an oncologist and was referred to a pediatric surgeon for excision and biopsy. Jobbie needs surgery immediately, as she is now losing her ability to walk as well because of her growing tumor. She would complain of prickly sensation on her legs and would refuse to stand. Her Pediatric Surgeon had advised to do an excision biopsy of the mass and a colostomy would be temporarily placed. She will then undergo chemotherapy for the remaining tumor which is affecting her nerves.
Please help her as she undergo surgery. There are no available tertiary public hospitals in Angeles City. We will admit her at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Medical Center for her surgery when funds are sufficient. She will be undergoing chemotherapy after her surgery. We are trying our best to pay for her medical needs. And we are knocking in your hearts if you can give any donation to aid her in her battle. We are praying that the Lord will bless you. Thank you.
