Help Jhasmine Beat Cancer

Hello, I am Jhasmine Ambulo. I am 18 years old and I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia last February 13, 2021. Over half a year ago, I was hospitalized due to having on & off high fever that lasted for over a month. Despite iron therapy and blood transfusions, I also had persistent anemia. Until recently, my hematology doctor has decided to do a bone marrow biopsy. There, it was discovered that I have Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). I was advised by my doctor to go on an academic leave since I will be undergoing chemotherapy.

There are two phases in chemotherapy; Induction Phase & Consolidation Phase

Induction Phase

(1)For induction phase, it aims to quickly get rid of as many cancer cells as possible. It also involves two chemo drugs; Cytarabine and Idarubicin. The number and length of cycles of my chemotherapy depends on how my body will react to the treatment.

Consolidation Phase

(2) As for consolidation phase, further treatment is given to destroy any remaining cancer cells and helps prevent a relapse.

I will have my first chemotherapy cycle under induction phase. Treating cancer is very costly, this is why we humbly knock at your doors seeking for financial support for my treatment.
