Jeroen's Situation
Our dear friend Jeroen has been detained in China since June 2017. He is wrongly accused of incorrect declarations when importing goods.
Terrible Conditions
His detention is degrading. He is in a small cell with 15 others. It is extremely humid with temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius in summer and near freezing in winter. Jeroen's health suffers from this. The fact that he is not allowed to have contact with family and friends makes it even more difficult for him.
Legal Expenses
Jeroen is entitled to a fair trial. Good legal assistance is essential and unfortunately expensive. Jeroen’s closest friends and family have donated to his legal defense, but this is not enough.
