Jenna Joy is a kind, timid and lovely person. Even with her mild mannered nature and soft spoken voice, it doesn’t stop her from lifting the spirits and giving joy and laughter to the people who are constantly around her.

On May 21st, Jenna Joy was diagnosed with Meningitis after going through an MRI scan. Her symptoms first appeared on April 28 with an onset of slight fever accompanied by a headache, but without sore throat, colds, and cough.

On May 4th, her headaches worsened and she was experiencing nausea. After some time, her headaches disappeared but was soon replaced with dizziness vomiting. Her dizziness and vomiting continued a few days after that.

Jenna Joy was brought to the hospital on May 10th and went straight to the Emergency Room, after which the doctors performed a series of tests for her diagnosis. She underwent Blood Chem, Dengue Test, and COVID test. The tests came back negative for Dengue, Anti Gen and RT CPR. The doctor’s conclusion and diagnosis was Typhoid Fever and Migraine, in which the doctor prescribed her with medications for her Migraine and antibiotic.

With the diagnosis given, she was taken back home so she can rest and recover, and to also lessen the exposure for COVID. Before being brought home, the doctor gave our family a request for CT scan with contrast.

When Jenna was taken home, we followed all of the Doctor’s advise and instructions for her antibiotic medications so she can recover fully and quickly. But suddenly, Jenna advised us that her vision was getting blurry and she was also experiencing dizziness again, but not only that, she also was complaining that she was experiencing an alarming sensitivity to light especially in her right eye.

With her symptoms in mind, we decided to take her to an Ophthalmologist to get a diagnosis, but the specialist advised that there was nothing wrong with her eyes, and instead gave us a request for a CT scan. Since two Doctors already advised for a CT scan, we prompted to find a laboratory for the procedure.

On May 10th, she underwent a CT scan to finally shed a light on her illness. Dreading but hopeful, we waited for the result, and on May 11th, all of her results were normal as of the findings.

With the outcome of the CT scan, though still confused, we grew more hopeful for Jenna’s recovery. But her conditions did not subside. She still felt the same symptoms as before, and after a few days, her condition worsened, as well as her vomiting. Even just drinking fluids, she would immediately expel it out.

Finally, on May 20, late at night, we brought her back to the Emergency Room of the first hospital we went to. But unfortunately, there was no vacant room, so we transferred Jenna to nearby private hospital instead.

Jenna was dehydrated according to the assessments in the ER, and they suggested that they needed to admit the patient because of it. After which, they required to take another Anti Gen and RT CPR because it’s only valid for 1 week. We prompted to admit her immediately, and thankfully there was a vacant room to take her in.

On May 21st in the morning, the Doctor gave the order to do an MRI scan on Jenna, and the procedure was done immediately. The doctor then advised us that the findings on the MRI scan stated that Jenna was suffering from Meningitis all this time. A result we were deeply dreading.

On May 22nd in the afternoon, her Doctor gave the order for a Lumbar Tap for Jenna.

Currently, Jenna is not in a comatose state, she is still responsive, can hear, can open here eyes, and have motor functions, but her condition is deteriorating even while going through medication and treatment.

Her GoGetFunding will go to all of her medications, treatment, and hospital bills. We are all tapping into your hearts and hoping that you can help us give the treatment that Jenna desperately needs right now.

With everyones help and collective prayers, we are all hoping for Jenna’s full recovery so we can all experience her kind and gentle way with people.

We are deeply and utterly praying for Jenna’s full recovery so we can all be with her mild mannered nature again.

We love you Jenna, we’re still here. We’re fighting with you!
