Campaign Story
Janno Puusepp is a remarkable public figure in Estonian cystic fibrosis society. He is a playwright, a freelance director, an actor and the founder of the Janno Puusepp fund. He has participated in tv shows and given a Tedx talk at Tartu, Estonia on depression. At Christmas, Janno works as a Santa.
Janno's fund was created to help others suffering from chronic diseases by providing necessary food supplements to those who can't afford it, as the current health insurance fund in Estonia doesn't cover it.
Janno has a problem. He is in need of a lung transplant, but before that can happen, he needs to get his teeth fixed. His teeth were badly damaged in a car accident a couple of years ago. It will cost around 3000-4000 euros, but the healthcare system in Estonia doesn't support it. Furthermore, it's impossible for him to save that money, as the governmental support for him is 200 euros/month. That only adds to his problem: should the lung transplantation go well, that's all he has to live on.
Janno is one of those people who puts others before him - which is why he is so important to other cystic fibrosis patients in Estonia. His fund and his public performances are some of the most influential ways to raise awareness, which is why we ask for your help. Help us give him back his teeth and give him a chance of new life!
