Help James battle leukemia

My nephew James was a bubbly and funny child who loves to joke around most of the time, until he started experiencing signs and symptoms that would eventually lead to the diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).

It started early this year when he had repeated ankle sprains, multiple joint pains, and fever. Initially, his condition was treated as rheumatic fever. After a month of treatment, his condition did not improve prompting referral to a specialist in pediatric rheumatology. After a battery of laboratory and diagnostic tests, the results were still inconclusive, prompting referral to a pediatric hematologist. It was then that his manifestations and diagnostic results became fully apparent, leading to the diagnosis of leukemia. Despite his current condition, he still finds time to joke around, especially when posing for pictures.

He is to undergo several sessions of chemotherapy for about 3 years, with the induction phase to start immediately. The expenses incurred during the months when he had several checkups, hospitalization, referrals, and diagnostic workups took a toll on us financially. We are knocking your charitable hearts to help our family in the expenses that will be incurred for his chemotherapy, covering chemotherapeutic agents, hospitalizations, and other pertinent management. The proceeds that will be gathered in this fundraising campaign will be used as follows:

Chemotherapeutic drugs - $ 5000
Hospitalization expenses - $ 3000
Other non-chemo medications - $ 1500

We would also appreciate referral to other charitable organizations especially those who offer psychological help to patients with cancer within our area (Dumaguete City, Philippines).
