Help Jacqueline Make Better Videos

Hey folks, you all might know me as that one girl who made that video about The Wind Waker, or the girl who is going to make potentially hour long video essays about each and every Kingdom Hearts game! Either way though, I assume that you are here because you love my videos, and want to help me make them better, and/or help me make my side-gig as a freelance video editor much simpler and more viable.

To put it plainly, my computer is not the best. She's old and reliable, and more than capable of doing basic edits of videos around 1080p, but add on any work in After Effects, or video in 4K, and she can become very slow and difficult to work with. Now, there are solutions that make this less of an issue, like using proxies, but even in that regard, a more powerful computer would be much better able to render those proxies in the first place, and save me a lot of time waiting for their completion.

Plus, on top of that, I have a slight issue where I cannot record anything that is not on my PS4 or my computer. So far, this hasn't been cause for much trouble, besides the watermark logo generated by the PS4, but if I ever wanted to capture or make a video about any of my PS3 games, or any other console I have that doesn't have native recording, I'd be out of luck and unable to collect any footage for it.

Finally, I don't exactly have the best audio equipment. Or, well, I do, but it's not owned by me. It's owned by the public library in my city, and I can use it for free, but that requires reserving a time slot a day in advance, and seeing as my partner and I only have one car, that either means waiting for my partner to get back from work, getting a ride from someone else, or having to walk half a mile to the nearest bus stop in order to get there (walking which is generally a big problem for my already awful back).

What's my plan to fix this all then? Well, to upgrade my equipment of course. By doing so, I can more easily and quickly edit videos, I can capture footage from any game I want, and I can record my audio on my own time at home, where I'm most comfortable working.

The specifics of the upgrade plan is as follows:

• Audio Equipment: Behringer U-Phoria UMC202HD + Audio-Technica AT2020 + AKG Pro Audio K72 Headphones + XLR + Mic Stand + Shock Mount Kit
• Video Capture Equipment: Logitech C920S HD Pro + Elgato HD60S Capture Card
• Misc: CORSAIR Scimitar Pro MMO Mouse (old mouse broke, this one allows easy shortcut access for video editing from the mouse) + USB 3.0 Data Hub + USB 3.0 Cable (25ft) (for setting up the capture card in the living room, where all the consoles are)

I've priced this out at about $1200, factoring in shipping and buying certain items used. I think that with this equipment, I'd be able to much more effectively do freelance editing work on a professional level, and it would also make the process of recording my videos far easier and significantly more streamlines. This, however, is not an emergency situation, or to meet a dire need, so I don't want to pressure anybody who can't afford to donate!
