Who is Jacqueline?

Jacqueline is my young sister of 17 years old, very disciplined, Charming, ambitious and hardworker, battling a very rare life threatening cancer!

She was born twin in a poor family found in Tabora region, she is the first twin but unfortunately her second twin had some deformity which was incompatible to the life (congenital malformation) therefore died soon after delivery, luckily Jacqueline was born with less malformation as compared to her second twin, she had small swelling on her left part of her neck!

The swelling was firm, non-tender, not painful with some black hairs, it increased in size as she grew up!

When she was 2 years old, she was taken to hospital for removing the swelling but the doctors suggested that she is still young, it should be removed at least when 8 years old! Then she was taken back home!

From there, Jacqueline was growing weak, being hospitalized so many times, this caused her to delay even to walk and to speak, the skills acquired at the age of 4 years which is not normal for health child!

At the age of 7 her father passed away (died), this was really another depression in life of Jacqueline as the father was the head of the family for taking care of her in terms of bringing food, clothes and medical services.

Therefore, at the age of 8 due to the family difficult situation Jacqueline was not taken to hospital again for removing the tumour as her doctor said before!

Then She continued living with this swelling with all complications, several hospitalization while getting some episodic relief, however despite being sick several times Jacqueline didn't loss hope, she managed to go to primary school where she did well her final examinations and being selected to join St.Peter secondary School!

Fortunately, when she was in a form three class, due to her good academic performance, charming, and dancing behaviour teachers were very interested with her, they donated for her and took her to Nkinga hospital where the first surgery to remove the tumour was done in 2017!!!

Now, what is the current situation??

As some of you know, Jacqueline was diagnosed with Neurofibroma tumour on the left upper part of her neck. While most tumours of this kind are benign, due to the location, Jacqueline's tumour is currently eroding nerves and blood vessels leading to difficult in breathing, chronic coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, severe headache and difficult in drinking or swallowing any material!

Her tumour has been recurring after every surgery she undergoes, therefore her family wishes to take her to a more advanced hospital for enhanced care. However, this is not covered by insurance and thus the challenge becomes the funds for treatment, for travel, for time missed from work.

Remember what is happening to her today may also happen to anyone tomorrow; we don't know who is going to help us in life!

Now what is needed??

Dear friends, I am kneeling before you asking for your kind support, donate fund for her so that she can go for enhanced care, then be back to school and continue with her normal life! WHATEVER AMOUNT YOU CAN DONATE CAN SAVE HER LIFE!

What has been done to save her life??

Dear friend, Until now, She has undergone a total of four surgeries: the first one was done at NKINGA MISSION REFERRAL HOSPITAL and the other three at MUHIMBILI NATIONAL REFERRAL HOSPITAL. But it keeps recurring after every surgical intervention.

What are the Jacqueline's dreams and Passions??

Jacqueline has been a hard worker as I said before, she is cooperative with her fellow students, and she is a net ball player, and singer. Currently, however, she is not able now to do her daily activities. She dropped from secondary school when she was in form three due to this tumour her heart is full of pain.

Jacqueline has a dream of being a Medical doctor in her life and open a unique Foundation that will be dealing with helping and supporting all children born with inheritable tumours, inborn Malformations (Congenital Malformations) and those children who lives in a harsh condition!

In order to take care of her, our mother is no longer working, and is applying for financial aids so that she can go to a more specialized hospital for further care.

As a family of no income now, she is desperately need your support.

How donated fund will be used??

The donated amount will cover transports, food, accommodations, and medical services, and taking her back to school! Remember donating fund for Jacqueline is like supporting the whole community because she has a big dream for the benefits of the people worldwide!

Her family can do so little, but together we can do so much!!
