My name is called Paul Odiwuor Ogola am a permaculture teacher at a permaculture organization called Permoafrica-Centre , my mission is to bring permaculture knowledge & Sustainable skilled technology to our community who are facing climatic changes towards the community sustainable organic farming & Skilled transferred,so now am calling for the urgent attention of our global friends to come up now for this urgent needs and we hold hands together for the support of the children of Heritage Christian Academy,{https://mobile.facebook.com/Heritage-Christian-Aca...} i chose to raise funds on behalf of this school in that ,apart from working with the 12 villages on permaculture sustainable farming practices now i also want to introduce permaculture for children in each village so now my plan is to start with this school in kawiya village to see the positive productive outcome of permaculture knowledge and skills to children life, permaculture for children one village at A time!!
Sadly and its shed tears being that the water point is very far the lady who is voluntarily used to bring two buckets of 20 liters of water daily for the children's to drink , used to wake up at 6 a.m. to head to the river to fetch water for approximately 1 hour,” The journey back with heavy, jerrycans of river water could take two hours. “The only chore one ends up doing is fetching water. The children would be affected at many times. They would contract typhoid. Washing the clothes would be such a challenge due to the nature of the water. The quality of the tea was really as terrible as the water, reason there's no safe source of water. The only source of water soon to dry is a chune Dam, which is outside far distance from the school compound and unsecured. This became a huge challenge, and even made some parents want to turn their mind to withdraw their girls and boys from school
THE SOLUTION is we thank the permaculture team globally through the permaculture volunteer from Hungary Brother Steve who had 3days volunteer at a community permaculture project called "Permoafrica-Centre" For donating a tank capacity of 5000Ltrs to help in harvesting roof rainwater to provider clean water for the children's and teachers in the school for drinking and other productive used, and also to help the school management to teamed up with me for the school permaculture for the children because there will be sustainable water collection points ..
