Help in Changing my Life for the better

Who am I?

I'm Peter, Coptic Egyptian, Civil Engineer and I'm 27 years old.

Why I created this campaign?

I'm Currently got accepted to study my Master degree in Germany. However, I got accepted and managed to save some of the necessary money to complete the total fund needed for this 2 years abroad, I cannot find any other way to seek to accomplish my dream.

I have been applying for several scholarships and yet not succeed ( DAAD, KAAD, etc.) and I deducted a lot of my parents saving.

Why I cannot Self-Fund it?

First of all, I have been working for 4 years now as Civil Engineer but the salaries here in Egypt are very low especially after the release of the local currency exchange rate ( 6 Egyptian pounds was = 1$ but now 17 LE = 1 $).

Second, my monthly salary is equal to 260 euro and that is the Gross salary. Deduct the taxes, the accommodations, food, transportations, and other expenses, you can imagine what is left for the education saving.

With this rate, I will not be able to save that money before several years and this will make me unqualified for the Master's admission criteria like age less than 30 years. Also, obtain this degree in this age will help me to create a new life for me as I will be able to work in Germany after the study completion as I am allowed to stay for job searching.

Why did I choose to seek my Master's degree abroad? Why Germany?

Egypt is holding a low world rank in education (the one before the last), and the international universities here cost more than the abroad ones.

Germany is one of the best countries in Engineering in technicality, and cost no tuition fees at all but it requires a blocked account with 10246 Euro/ year as a living cost. In addition to that this Master specialty is also not available here in Egypt as it a rare specialty.

I've always considered the Egyptian Dr. Hany Azer & Sir Magdi Yacoub as my role models. Especially Dr. Hany Azer as he also sought his path in Germany and became one of the greatest engineers in the world and I hope someday I will reach my greatness as they did theirs.

As you can see, I will have:

1- Better education & no redo for my Bachelor degree or equivalent evaluation to be recognized as an engineer.

2- Better chance of finding job offers with better salaries in Europe.

Third, as I believe that science should pass through generations, I will help anyone in my specialty what I will learn in this Master by creating online courses for free to help in explaining the concepts that are used to offer a better understanding to the Master materials.
