Campaign Story
Knocking on your kind hearts to please help us in raising funds for baby Cailan (“Cai”) Edrey Laurel-Retiza‘s open heart surgery. Baby Cai was born on 04/15/2021. He was diagnosed with d-TGA or Dextro-Transposition of the Great Arteries. This is a birth defect of the heart in which the two main arteries carrying blood out of the heart – the main pulmonary artery and the aorta – are switched in position, or “transposed.”
Baby Cai is currently in Chonghua Hospital in Cebu. The doctor said that the only way to survive this birth defect is through open heart surgery which is available only in Manila. Estimated cost is at least 1 million pesos.
