Help idf soldiers on the front lines stay warm this winter!

Hi, I’m Ethan. Some of you may know I made Aliyah with my family from Australia 5 years ago and enlisted into Sayeret Haruv in the IDF last year. My team of 25 is currently deployed in Gush Etzion where our primary missions are counter-terror operations, apprehension of terrorists, raids, patrols, manning checkpoints and regular security activities.

If last year was anything to go by, we can expect a bitter cold winter this year - exacerbated by having to spend long periods of time outdoors with little protection to shield us from the elements.

While army funds cover basic needs, this sadly does not extend to warm clothing to keep us going through winter. The IDF is manned by a diverse group of kids from across the spectrum of Israeli society and from varied socio economic backgrounds. While few of the soldiers can afford to buy the relevant gear, there are many for whom even the cost of a good quality winter jacket is too much.

This winter, I’m determined to ensure that no one in my unit goes without warm protective gear while carrying out their duties. I’m turning to you, my network of contact and friends from across the globe to ask if you can please donate any amount big or small to help me buy warm jackets for my team members.
