Help Hugo Have a Wonderful Childhood :)

Baby Hugo was born during the first quarter of 2020, just before the pandemic hit the globe.

He was born with a cleft lip and cleft palate making him have his milk through a tube from his nose down to his stomach — this made him miss the opportunity to enjoy his first solid foods in his first few months to avoid aspiration. This tube has to be changed on a regular basis (1-2 times per week) He also has colostomy (surgical fomation of an artificial anus connecting the colon to an opening to his abdomen) because he needs an operation to fix his anus so he can open bowels properly. So aside from having to change nappies, he needs to have the colostomy bag changed regulary as he opens his bowel through the colostomy.

With his current condition, he needs support from people with generous hearts to help him have his surgeries — first to have his anoplasty (reconstruction of anus) and after 4-6 months he can have a reversion of his colostomy. And as soon as he is fit for the next procedure, he is ready to have his cheiloplasty (surgery to close the cleft lip and to improve the asymmetry of the upper lip and nose) and palatoplasty (closure of the opening between the nose and mouth to create a palate that works well for speech)
