Campaign Story
Let me start with 2 numbers:
Average housing price per sqft: USD$2000 (based on a 2020 study)
Average monthly income per head: USD$2300 (based on a 2020 study)
This means if I (ignoring inflation) save ALL my income for housing, it will still take me 21.7 years just to purchase a 300 sqft house, that is approx. 25% of one'slife!
Hence a lots of Hong Kong citizen would rather live in cages or wait an average of 5.7 years for public housing rather than working all their life to try and buy something they cannot afford.
