Help Hemophilia Students Pay for College

Our scholarship awards make it possible for young people with bleeding disorders to create new opportunities for their lives through post-secondary education. A scholarship ranges from $150 to $1,000 per program/academic year.

Since 2012 we have invested nearly $140,000 to help over 140 students pursue certificates to become truck drivers all the way to doctorates to become university professors. We have made dreams come true for aspiring engineers, computer scientists, accountants, business administrators, graphic artists, doctors, nurses, pharmacists and even mariners!

Funding my university education for all four years was the best thing anyone could have done for me! As a senior high school student, I dreamed of going to university, but because I lost my dad and knew my mum did not have the finances, I was never sure it would be possible. Today my dream has come true. I express my sincere gratitude to Save One Life for contributing not only to my education, but also to my life. I knew I could not let you down, and this partly influenced my success as an honors student!

I am writing to thank you for your generous scholarship. My mother placed me in an orphanage at the age of five. It was a lonely time and I had many bleeds as I was expected to perfom physically challenging chores. I had a dream to become a nurse. Without your help I would never have succeeded. Today I have a job as a graduated nurse in the cardiology department of Iqraa Hospital with a reasonable salary. Your generosity has inspired me and I hope one day I will be able to help people with hemophilia achieve their goals just as you have helped me.
