Help Helpless Rescues

Rescues in need of your help! (URGENT)

(MOST URGENT: The latest rescue needs immediate professional veterinary help, as the current vet is kind, but not very good, and taking him to better vet would cost a lot only for the check-up not to mention curing the case and after-care, please help him! We currently switched all cats from wet food to dry food, but it's not going so well, only Wolfie is eating, so we are giving them smaller portions of wet food, as we can't buy that much with what we have. Also, they all need to be spayed and neutered ASAP, Caramel is over 4 months now, reaching puberty soon and the rest are following. We also want to vaccinate them all, especially the rescues at home. And anything extra would go towards cleaning up the storage space so we can properly socialize Stache and Dash and their mother, which would raise their adoption chances, they haven't really had much contact with humans, always hiding when we go there).

Their Story:

Around three months ago my roommate and I started rescuing kittens in need of help to help them and then look at re-homing them. We've decided to keep the first 3 rescues, Toffee, Caramel and Wolfie.

Toffee we found on the side of the road screaming, no sight of her mother, she looked malnourished and yet had a very extended belly, after waiting for an hour we decided we'd take her and come look for her mother the next day to make sure she's not there since she needed her still (she was about 3 weeks old), we did not find her and decided she needed to stay with us, which started all this.

Shortly after rescuing Toffee a feral cat we always feed that always hid in the storage room to escape the sun gave birth outside under a neighbors old couch, when they were a week old it was raining so we opened the storage door and she took her two babies inside, Stache and Dash, so we were now had an obligation to feed the mother who stopped going outside and now her babies, too. They have eye infections and we're treating them with antibiotic spray, which isn't helping much.

After that came Caramel, which was in the same situation that Toffee was in and we couldn't turn a blind eye.

We realized we were biting more than we could chew when the (still unnamed) mother (help with a name, maybe?) started weaning her two boys and the food started draining all our money. I'm ashamed to say we couldn't even change the litter for the mother and her two boys for 3 months now, because we just couldn't afford it. I get 26$ a day and I share that with my roommate (and now 6 growing kittens and a cat).

We decided we couldn't do this anymore, especially after the Stache and Dash reached 12 weeks old and we couldn't find someone to adopt them (they're all local strays, people here in Saudi Arabia just want expensive breeds), so we decided no more rescuing.

Then came Wolfie. I was with my brother when he drove past him and almost him, so I told him to stop, he was screaming like crazy in the middle of the road, and a truck was coming. My heart sank, I thought that's it, he's dead, but he ended up running under a car on the side last-minute, so I went right after him, dragged him out while he was screaming and scratching and biting and took him home, later found out he had a wound in his belly that was oozing pus. After taking him to the vet he gave us antibiotics and said it's good that it healed cause it looks like it needed sutures (WRONG), later the scabs fell and it turned out to be a flesh wound and the scabs falling was a good thing because the pus drained.

We said okay, this is the last one, we can't do it anymore, otherwise we couldn't give the proper care to the cats we already rescued and still be able to live on the amount of money we have.

Two days ago on the way home we stopped to buy food, there were a lot of ferals outside the restaurant, all beautiful cats, and one little malnourished kitten. When my friend came back he said the kitten's eyes are infected, and one looks to be bulging. We discussed what we should do, he was against taking him, but I convinced him saying we'll take care of him till he's well then return him, and that we can keep him in the bathroom so he doesn't infect the other 3. Hesitant, he agreed, so I went to get him, which again resulted in a lot of (REALLY HARD) biting and scratching. The poor thing smelled like death was living in his eyes, and it looked like he had either mange or ringworms.

After taking the new, yet unnamed kitten to the vet (had to go to the same vet because although he mostly doesn't know what he's doing, Toffee still has an extended stomach, he helped us by not charging much for the rescues), he gave him a de-wormer and an ointment for his eyes, hoping the swelling would go down.

Please, anything little helps, our last resort would be releasing them, but they're strictly indoor cats now, and they were all rescued as little kittens except for the mother of Stache and Dash, so we're hoping you can help us keep helping them!
