Help heat our home!

It may be June, but the thought of winter already has me chilled to the bone! We've had our fair share of bad luck the past few years, storms have left us without power for 9 days, toppled trees on our home, and washed our culvert bridge completely away. It seems we can't catch a break financially! As awful as the summer months have proven to be, winter is what I fear most. Last year, record low temperatures were everywhere! Our home was not excluded. Because of our pier foundation and lack of insulation on the front side of our home, we had actual ICE forming inside and up our walls! Our propane tank was near empty, and so was our bank account due to the previous distasters during summertime. We kept our home at 58 degrees all winter, and used a wood burning stove to try and keep warm. We have an old parlor stove, and while it helped, it was just not efficient at all! We would really like to upgrade our woodburner this year. We'd also LOVE to be able to add some insulation under our home, but doing either is just not going to happen without help! I have located an almost new wood and coal stove on Craigslist for $475, however.......there is just no extra funds to purchase it. I'm hopeful an angel can help us! We have two small children in our home, and I'd really love to be more at ease keeping them warm this coming winter. Thank you so much for considering giving us a helping hand!
