Help HAWK help Chatsworth and Riverlands

Human and Animal Welfare Koinonia (HAWK) started out in December 2013 when Valhalla Park went up in flames. We as a registered Non-Profit Company 2015/177329/08 serve communities in Valhalla Park, Chatsworth, Kalksteenfontein, Mannenburg, Wallacedene, Aandskof, Goliath Estate. We educate the communities on a wide scale on the basic care of animals (dogs and cats mostly), to better the lives of their own pets and others. In instances where animals are severely abused, sick or neglected we get assistance from our local vets to do initial care and sterilizations before we complete the rehabilitation process. There after animals get returned to their owners if the circumstances is acceptable or get put up for adoption if the animal was surrendered.

HAWK has recently moved to Riverlands in Swartland, close to Malmesbury , since we arrived in the area we have been approached by locals for help with there animals , this stretches from Dogs to Donkeys. This area will also be added to our list of areas we already serve.

To start out helping this community we will need funds for the following:

Basic Health care products:

• Dip
• Deworming for dogs, cats, horses, goats, sheep
• Fly repellent products
• Tick and flea spot-on for pets and livestock
• Wound spray
• Terramycin powder and injectable
• Dectomax/ Ivomec injectable
• Tick grease
• Frontline spray
• Ear cleaner

Vet care:

• Sterilizations
• Consultations for sick animals
• X-rays
• Trans-venereal Tumor treatments
• Dental surgery
• Major surgery

Basic care Products:

• Food: Dog and puppy soft food, dry pellets, Puppy milk
  • Cat and Kitten: Soft food, dry pellets, Kitten milk
  • Horse, donkey, goat, sheep: Oat Straw, Lusern pellets, Bran and oats
• Kennels
• Leads, collars, bridals, numnahs
• Shampoo's
• Blankets and Towels
• Bowls for food and water
• Brushes to groom

For the People:

• Non-perishable Foods
• Clothes
• Bedding
• Toys
• Nappies
• Basic sanitary products
