Help Harley – Hit by a car and left for DEAD!

Meet Harley (previously named Lucky Beauty)

She was hit by a car and left for dead on the road. Remarkably after 2 lots of operations and problems with infection, she recovered well and was enjoying life with her foster parents until she gets a family of her own. Her foster mum noticed she was having difficulty breathing properly and clearly in pain, so she took her straight to the veterinary hospital.

After many tests, the vets diagnosed her with a Diaphragmatic Hernia, which requires complicated, high risk surgery with only a 50/50 chance of survival. It was yet another injury from the impact of the vehicle, but had previously not been noticeable. We were all heartbroken with the news and although we didn't have ANY funds to pay for her surgery, she would have died without it, so we went ahead anyway. The surgery was a SUCCESS and the vets are hopeful that Harley will make a full recovery.

During the diagnostic tests they discovered that Harley also has 2 types of blood parasites, for which she will need treatment after she has regained her strength. She will also need to be sterilized, so any funds received over the amount we need to pay for her surgery will go towards her future treatment and other Soi dogs in our care.
