Five years after the earthquake, which destroyed more than 40% of the infrastructure in Haiti. The town of Tiburon in the southern department of Haiti has not a modern hospital. We are currently working with local and foreign agencies to provide the city of Tiburon a small hospital quality in order to meet the minimum requirements of the population in health care quality. The hospital will be ready to reopen in a new modern facility, largely through the generous support of Catholic health care organizations in the US and Canada.

The hospital will have 40 beds in total and an emergency service. We are looking for new fund to purchase two vehicles used ambulance in the United States for the transport of sick and for the transport of all emergencies in the population. We organize this new fundraising in hopes to collect 80,000 USD required for the purchase of these two ambulance vehicles.

This 40-bed hospital, with an area of 4,500 square meters, will also provide pediatric services, minor surgical and internal medicine as well as emergency care to residents of Tiburon.

In order to promote capacity building, the project also provides staff training in respect of hospital management as well as the use and maintenance of medical equipment. Such services will help reduce the rate of infant mortality and to improve access of children, women and men with special medical quality in the city.
