My best friend, Haïna Keke from Comoros, has been accepted as a partially funded participant in the Global Peace Summit in Turkey from 15-18 October, but has to pay for her airfare and an additional night's accommodation. She can't afford the airfare at all but I thought that together, we could help her raise enough money to pay for her ticket, travel insurance and an additional night's accommodation so that she can attend the Summit and become part of the Global Peace Chain to work on projects to foster world peace.
Haïna is one of those amazing people who grabs opportunities like this to learn and contribute her skills to improving the world, with both hands. She co-founded her NGO IMARA Comoros which focuses on supporting education by promoting STEM, Arts and Youth Leadership for Comorian children immediately after attending the Mandela-Washington Fellowship, and has ever since continued building up youth’s skills through other programs that honed her skills like the B-Spark Leadership Academy. Her NGO has accomplished major strides in the domain of STEM and built the capacity of hundreds of Comorian children and youth. To follow their amazing work, please follow their Facebook page @IMARA Comoros.
Today, Haïna is hoping (counting on our help) to attend the Global Peace Summit and put her exceptionally innovative and out of the box thinking to learn from the summit, and bring her newly acquired skills back to her country in order to promote Global Peace.
