Help grow a recent UK Start Up – Already trading 1 Year

We are a recent start-up business in London which is just about to finish its first year of trading.

We sell parts and accessories for cars and motorbikes and as a homegrown British business we would like to make our mark and stay in business for generations to come.The funds will help us to scale up which is crucial for us at this stage. You know what they say if you're not growing - your going in the other direction.

We have identified that whilst we have steady sales, our focus now needs to be on expanding our product portfolio and adding more revenue channels to increase our revenue and profit.

We have been trading on two of the biggest online platforms (eBay and Amazon) and doing quite well in a competitive marketplace with over 50 orders per day on average across the two platforms and we are looking to take the business to the next level, however like most small businesses which are self funded - cash flow is restricting our growth as most of the profit at this stage is re-invested in inventory and the high street banks are not willing to help! (Yet)

What will the funds be used for?

We want to get a website developed by a professional in order to add another channel and we have been quoted £3,000 on average for this.

We also want to hire a part-time fulfilment assistant in order to take the posting and packing out of our hands and free up time and focus on aspects of growing the business like sourcing new products and creating marketing campaigns to drive traffic to the new website. By doing this we hope to create a new job opportunity for someone who needs it (as in the UK thanks to recent cuts, more and more people are losing jobs and money is tight across all classes) The cost of this will likely be £1000 for the first month.

The remainder of the funds circa: £2000 will help us invest in new product lines to expand our portfolio and our sales will increase in turn.
