Help GroGive Grow! (2nd year expansion funding)

GroGive is growing! With your help that is.

We've had an exciting first year of making, selling, planting, and donating.

So far, in year one:

-our GroGive website and social media has been created

-we've designed and developed our standard product line with exclusive crowd favorites such as our Sweet Orange Pepper Surprise Seed Candles, our tote bags (perfect for the market or library) and our unique plant decoration stakes

-we've built relationships with other local artists and crafters to expand our exclusive product line

-we've designed and developed our logo and marketing / packaging materials

-we've grown and sold over 150 seedlings, all from seed in our custom created grow room using organic methods

-we've written and distributed a comprehensive seed starting guide to help other home gardeners on their path to food security

-we've given 2 workshops; one on seed starting and the other on food insecurity in Maryland

-we've become approved vendors at 3 Baltimore area farmers markets and several single day festivals

-we've done our first weekend long festival-Karmafest, where our booth was very popular

-we've grown, transplanted, and donated dozens of tomato and pepper plants to people living in the Baltimore area, through partnerships with community groups

Much of this was possible due to the support of others who believe in the GroGive mission and donated to our start-up fundraiser one year ago.

And now, as we move into year two, we know which areas need an influx of capital in order to succeed. This years primary focus will be on increasing our marketing so we reach more potential customers who will support GroGive, bulking up our product inventory in order to be able to fulfil orders much sooner, and streamlining our shipping process.

That is where we need your help. Although a lot of personal capital has been invested into starting GroGive, we do not have enough to grow in the ways needed to become a full time business. In the long run we'd like to hire staff to help with growing our plants and crafting our products as well as handle marketing and customer service. But those expansions won't be possible without increasing our sales first.

Your donation will help us do what is needed to increase sales and bring more revenue into GroGive, to be re-invested into growing our sustainable social-benefit small business.
