Help Greek IOI Team Raise Money to Participate On-site in IOI 2022

We are the Greek National Informatics Team and attending an on-site IOI has been our dream for years. The economic crisis in our country, which has also increased a lot due to Covid-19, has affected financially many businesses. Therefore, it has been impossible for us to find sponsors to cover the travel expenses to Indonesia.

The International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) is one of the International Science Olympiads held annually around the world. Exceptional and talented high school students from various countries gather in one place to get to know each other, sharpen their informatics skills - such as problem analysis, design of algorithms and data structures, programming and testing - but also compete for medals and honors. Students spend years developing problem-solving and algorithmic skills to become the best in the world and this type of Olympiads are one of the most important events in their early careers.

IOI's purpose is not only the competition itself of course, but mostly about the whole experience, meeting new people with the same interests, fostering friendly international relationships among computer scientists, and learning about other cultures. All these make IOI special. This whole experience is impossible from an on-line IOI, and on-site competitions are without doubt much more enjoyable and beneficial.

We ask for your help to make our dream come true and be able to cover the travel expenses for attending IOI 2022 on-site in Indonesia.

In case we don't manage to raise enough money, we will use it to cover the travel expenses for IOI 2023.
