Help grandpa fight Diabetes Type 2

My grandpa was recently diagnosed with CKD V secondary to diabetes mellitus nephropathy this May 2017. He needs lifetime treatment to continue his life - twice a week dialysis session plus maintenance medicines that sums up to $200-250 USD per month. Grandma have very small pensions from the government and this won't help them. They just depend on small earnings they're getting from selling apricots and other small fruit, but it's not much. Help grandpa live, please... Thank you.
