Goodman Ndlovu is a wonderful person, a family man and an entrepreneur. He provides mobile gardening and handyman services to a number of regular clients in the Johannesburg North area. He has done work for our family for years, and has built up his business to the point where he purchased his own vehicle and managed to service homes in a 15km radius, from Linden to Lonehill. His business supports his wife and three children, along with numerous family members.
But, in early September 2017, disaster struck when Goodman's vehicle, containing his gardening and DIY tools, was stolen from his residence in the middle of the night. Attempts to retrieve it through the police have been fruitless, and he has been advised to simply accept the loss and move on. In one fell swoop, his most valuable assets have been taken from him. Not one to be beaten down, he's currently using public transport and a bicycle to get around, borrowing tools as he goes. But this is not sustainable.
Tasha, Carmen and I want to help Goodman get back on the road, and purchase him a replacement used vehicle. We're looking for small donations, R100, R50 or R20: whatever you can spare. We're passionate about small business, and we firmly believe that entrepreneurs like Goodman are the lifeblood of our economy. Help us make this happen for Goodman!
