Help Get Wulan to Her Dream University!

A little bit about me:

Hello! My name is Wulan Lestari and I come from a small village in Bali, Indonesia. I am 18 years old and just graduated from senior high school. It has been my dream to study Japanese at Udayana University in Bali. Ever since I was young, I have loved watching anime, reading manga, and viewing Japanese culture. These are ways for me to travel far away without leaving my room. I want to study with other students who share my passion.

My dream:

After I finish university, my goal is to become a teacher of Japanese language. My dad teaches Indonesian to American students in Bali and this has inspired me to become a foreign language teacher. When I was younger, my mom passed away in a motorcycle accident. Since then, I have become very close with my dad. Watching him teach foreigners has made me want to meet people from all over the world and share my culture with others.

Udayana University is one of the best universities in Indonesia. Studying there will help make my dreams of being a foreign language teacher become a reality. This July, I was so excited to find out I was accepted to the Japanese program. I will begin classes on August 27, 2018. However, tuition is expensive and I also need to pay for housing and food.

Why I Need Help:

Paying for my education is difficult for my family because I have two sisters and my dad has to pay for all of our education by himself. There are not many scholarships for Indonesian students. Additionally, my dad has struggled with an eye disease that made him legally blind for most of his life. He has already had surgery but he will likely have to pay for an another surgery soon. All of this makes it very difficult for my family to afford to pay for my studies.

This is why I am asking for for help to continue my studies at Udayana University. In total, I will need about $4400 (63 million Indonesian rupiah) for my time at university.

This will include: my school fee ($2082 or 30 million Indonesia rupiah), a room in a boarding house ($1041 or 15 million Indonesian rupiah), a laptop ($556 or 8 million Indonesian rupiah), school books ($348 or 5 million Indonesian rupiah), a Kanji writing and reading course ($174 or 2.5 million Indonesian rupiah) and an English course ($174 or 2.5 million Indonesian rupiah). Anything you are able to donate would help me get what I need to succeed at university.
