Help get the Neil’s back on there feet

Rich Neil, a devoted husband of 35 years and father of 3 boys. Rich has many grandkids, biological, and many that aren’t, because when it come to grandkids Rich claims them all... they bring so much joy into his life.

Rich has worked for Safway at the BP refinery for 28 years and is a general foreman. Safe to say it’s a family trait. Chris neil, Rich’s oldest son has worked side by side with his father for the last 15 years and has learned everything from him. His other two sons Justin and Jason also work at the same refinery. As many of you may know, this is not an easy job, but Rich has been trooper through all the turn arounds, working endless nights and so much overtime the average person wouldn’t see in a lifetime, because he is a provider.

Recently, he received the unfortunate diagnosis of cancer In his intestine, and elsewhere in his body. He now has to start the journey to recovery. The hospital in Bellingham is overwhelmingly full which means he will be sent to Seattle for his treatment.

This means so much time away from home and so many unexpected expenses

Candy Neil, Rich’s devoted wife has not left his side Since they have received this news.

They have a long road ahead of them and Rich is strong, the whole family is hopeful and determined that Rich will fight this battle.

Until then, there is incoming monthly bills at home on the counter stacking up and no income coming in.

They have started the process of applying for Rich’s disability and retirement and any other form of income that they may be eligible for, however, this is a process and it takes time.

In the meantime, I am setting up this fundraiser to help with some of the monthly bills so that they don’t get too behind on payments.

If you know anyone in the Neil family, you know that they are great people who have always worked so hard for what they have and are such caring people that would help anyone at anytime with anything.

I am now reaching out to family, friends and the community to come together and donate anything they can to help Rich on his journey back to health.

Not only did we receive the horrific news of my father in laws cancer just a week and a half ago. Getting settled with their new routines of all his meds and nutrition packs through his pic line, their house burnt down to the ground. All his nutrition and meds are gone along with everything else cherishable to our family. Please keep them in your prayers. Whatever can be donated would be much appreciated.
