Hello, my name is Shaun and I'm a painter/decorator (a pretty good one at that) and a good grafter. Presently I have to rely on some kind-hearted friends to ferry me and my tools to various jobs many miles away, something which I feel guilty about. This brings me to my current dilemma, I'm without my own transportation (of any description) despite being offered numerous projects further afield in London and the Home Counties.
Saving even for a second-hand van to get me from A to B is almost impossible due to my reduced earning capacity being without a roadworthy vehicle. My dream has always been to go totally self-employed and not be on someone elses payroll. In todays business climate it's always savvy not to put all your eggs in one basket, so when there's dry spells on the painting side (no pun intended), I'll use the van to do some light removal and courier work (possibly even a car boot sale stall on a Sunday).
The van in the photo is for sale locally at £950 (a deposit might secure it). I'm equally confident and excited about the success of this venture and would very much appreciate any little help folks can offer in making this happen. Thank you.
