Do you remember your first time riding in an airplane? The uneasy feeling of leaving the ground, taking flight above the clouds. Do you remember looking out the window, staring at what looks like thousands of little toy cars and houses? It might have even made you laugh and maybe the comfort stated to set in, but not before the plane started it's decent. Falling thousands of feet, your stomach tingles and your ears pop! It is a strange feeling that ends with the joys of landing back down on the ground, where you remember you belong. A lot of people experience that joyride, but for my father, he experienced something different for his first plane ride. See my father had never seen a plane until he joined the service. He was a member of the 82nd Airborne out of Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, NC. The first time he ever rode in an airplane, he didn't get to experience the joys of flying in an airplane. His first plane ride was a short one that ended with jumping out! Apparently he never even landed in an airplane until some 250 plus rides. I could not imagine what that must have felt like.

So, lets jump(pun intended) some 45 years to the present day.

My name is Kyle and I live in Egypt. I have been teaching math and science at an international school in Alexandria for the last 4 years. During this time I have fallen madly in love with an Egyptian woman and we are set to get married in October. I had planned on getting married with none of my family coming to the wedding. I completely understand, I live on the other side of the planet! That was until my father made a comment about coming to the wedding!!! Hooray!! Everyone is happy...blah blah blah.. the end...

PROBLEM- I apparently told my dad that I would upgrade him to business class, which he didn't know even existed. I told him that it was this magical place on the airplane that serves free alcohol and has a chair that leans completely back. I basically described the cabin as heaven, because I thought that he would never get on an airplane.

Well he remembered this "business class" and all it's amazing amenities and has reminded me that I made a deal, I gave him my word.

So this is my campaign to bring a father to his son's wedding! I need a little help and I am hoping to find it through crowdfunding.
