Campaign Story
Despite disappearing from the public eye, the genocide in Darfur that began in 2003 has continued until this very day. The new government installed after the 2019 revolution did not change the situation in Darfur, and in fact placed Muhammad Hamdan, the former commander of the murderous Janjaweed militia, in the position of Chairman.
In the last several months, weeks, and days, the semi-regular bloodshed in Darfur has increased drastically, with over a hundred dead just in the last three days (as of July 28). The victims of this ongoing genocide include children, elderly, and women. Those lucky enough to escape with their lives have lost everything else, and are in desperate need of help.
There are some local residents who have the ability to travel to other regions and bring back food, medicine, and clothing, but these items have become expensive. All funds raised will go to providing these basic necessities as well as housing for those whose homes have been destroyed.
