Help Gandalf have surgery – Risk of malfunctioning limb at only 7 months old

Lets go to the bad stuff, then.
Last week, on the 30th December, my owner was walking me in the park with one of those retractable leads. For the first time ever, I got interested in a pigeon and tried to go after it. The lead kept me close to my owner, but I had to try again when he wasn’t expecting, so the lead fell on the floor. Because it made a lot of noise and it is retractable, the damn thing started to come after me and, well, I got reaaaally scared.
I ran away heading home - luckily no cars were passing by on the streets. However, instead of jumping to the sidewalk, I believe I kind of looked back while running and went against it instead. Yap, I am THAT clumsy. My X-Ray showed a double joint fracture, something easy but expensive to fix.

I do have insurance - but because it was done so recently, along with my documents to travel abroad that my owners were preparing, they don't want to step up.

So far, here's my invoice:

- 20.70 per hospitalization day (counting 6 today)

- 35.36 per clinical examination

- 14.39 per pain medication, 6 times a day (total of 86.34 per day)

- 13.28 per bag of fluids

- 11.34 per giving set and catheter

- 46.57 for using the IV machine pump

- 79.01 for general anasthetic

- about 300 for things I don't really understand what they are

- 195.06 for the X-ray

- 3300 for the surgery I need

If I don’t get a surgery, I won’t be able to walk properly again. Even with surgery, I will have arthritis and pain forever, and the longer we wait, the worse it gets.

Please help, I still want to be friends with that pigeon.

Na semana passada, no dia 30 de Dezembro, o meu dono estava a passear-me no parque com uma daquelas trelas retráteis. Pela primeira vez, fiquei mesmo interessado numa pomba e fui atrás dela. A trela manteve-me perto do meu dono, mas eu tinha de tentar outra vez quando ele menos esperava, e então a trela caiu ao chão. Por cause de ter feito muito barulho e ser retrátil, a trela maldita começou a vir atrás de mim e, bem… fiquei meeeeesmo assustado.

Comecei a correr em direção a casa - com sorte nenhum carro estava a passar na estrada. No entanto, em vez de saltar pro passeio, acho que olhei para trás pra perceber o que vinha atrás de mim e fui contra ele. Yup, sou mesmo desajeitado. O meu raio-x mostrou que tenho uma dupla fractura na articulação, algo fácil mas caro de arranjar.

Eu tenho seguro - mas como foi feito recentemente, juntamente com os meus documentos para viajar que os meus donos estavam a preparar, eles não querem assumir.

Até agora, esta é a conta:

- 20.70 por dia hospitalizado (x6 a contar com hoje)

- 35.36 por examinação clínica

- 14.39 por medicamentos para as dores, 6 vezes ao dia (total de 86.34 por dia)

- 13.28 por saco de fluidos

- 11.34 por sistema de soro

- 46.57 por usar a máquina de administração de soro

- 79.01 pela anestesia

- cerca de 300 por coisas que eu não compreendo bem o que são

- 195.06 pelo raio-x

- 3300 pela cirurgia que eu preciso


Se eu não tiver a cirurgia, não conseguirei andar como deve ser. Mesmo com cirurgia, ainda poderei ter artrite e dores para sempre, quanto mais espero pior fica.

Por favor ajudem, ainda quero ser amigo daquela pomba.
