Help Fund Wawie’s Hospital Bill

For the past few days, our Papa, Wawie Maranan, has been in the hospital due to an illness that none of us expected.

Last July 17, 2020, he was rushed to the hospital to be treated due to an abdominal pain which persisted in the following days.

He was referred to a Gastroenterologist to further check on his abdominal pain. According to the findings, the cause of the abdominal pain is Acute Mesentric Ischemia or interruption of blood flow to the small intestine due to blood cloth which leads to eventual gangrene of the bowel wall. This is a rare case as per his doctors and a surgery was needed immediately.

He was then scheduled for emergency exploratory laparotomy on July 19, 2020, brought to the ICU post-operation for critical care, and was now transferred to a telemetry unit for recovery.

Given all the procedures, critical care is required for his recovery. And with his prolonged stay in the hospital, our bill has already reached the overwhelming amount of ₱1,115,740 as of July 27, 2020. We have already maxed out his health card and his bill is expected to increase as he continue to stay in the hospital.
