We would like to ask for your help in raising funds for our hospital bill. The patient is currently admitted but will be transferred to a provincial hospital to lessen the cost of hospital bills.
Regina Calong is a 22 year old accounting staff at a small pharmaceutical company. This January 2020, she received good news from the doctor saying she was pregnant. Unfortunately on her fourth month she was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia which caused her to bleed and lose RBCs and platelets. Since she is pregnant she needs immediate care, hospitalization, and blood transfusions. This June, she was also diagnosed with Pneumonia but is negative for coronavirus. Since then, she has been in and out of hospitals due to her disease.
Aplastic Anemia is a rare but serious blood disorder that occurs when your bone marrow cannot make enough new blood cells for your body to work normally. Aplastic anemia occurs because of damage to stem cells inside bone marrow, which is the sponge-like tissue within your bones. Many diseases and conditions can damage the stem cells in bone marrow. As a result, the bone marrow makes fewer red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. The most common cause of bone marrow damage is from your immune system attacking and destroying the stem cells in your bone marrow, which is a kind of autoimmune disorder. The genes you inherit from your parents, some medicines, and certain toxins in the environment may also cause aplastic anemia.
We would like to reach out to your good hearts to spare some of your blessings and help us pay our hospital bill. The road to her recovery is still far but with your generous hearts, we can help her get medical attention and buy her medicines.
