Campaign Story
I don't know where to begin except the beginning. We met in 2007, and our road has been anything but easy. We've had our shares of ups and down and managed to make our way through it.
He finally popped the question Nov 2012 shortly after his father passed away from a rare disease and we were in the midst of sorrow and turmoil. We have, since our engagement, been battling trying to keep his parents house. We have been through bankruptcy, the threat of foreclosure, deaths on both sides of our families and have stuck together.
We are now trying to raises funds to bring together our close friends and family to celebrate our union with us. We've worked hard to get where we are, and have some money set aside, but not nearly enough.
Our Date is March 14, 2014.
The 3k is a rough estimate to help pay for the bridal gown, the cake, the grooms cake, the honeymoon, and some decorations.
I would love to add more to the budget for things like photography, and little pieces here and there for everyone but I just don't have it.
I have finally found the one I want to be with the rest of my life and I am hoping that together, with help, we can make the dream of finally getting married a reality.

Update posted by dkerste127 at 08:41 amYep, 231 days! Okay, so when you put it that way it seems like a long time.. BUT That is only 7 months and 18 days. When you realize it is already July 26th, and we are already halfway through the year, you will realize these next 7 months go. . . . .

Up the Total Need Due to Fees
Update posted by dkerste127 at 08:55 pmI found out after receiving my first donation tonight that there are fees incurded by using paypal and this website. The total taken each time is 6.9% + $.30 from each donation. So about $7.20 from every $100 donation. I have up'd the total for this reason to $3250 to
Deadline Date
Update posted by dkerste127 at 05:02 pmThe Deadline date is August 2013 for a good portion of this money. I will push out the deadline date to keep this open for those who wish to donate up to the very end, however August is my 6 month out deadline and will need to begin ordering things
FIRST $100!!
Update posted by dkerste127 at 04:55 pmSo today I received my first $100 towards the end balance. So very thankful for my friend and her donation. She didn't have to pay me, but she did anyways and now I have $100 towards my end goal! I was also made aware that Paypal was not setup properly

I know how hard it is to raise money for a wedding. When I got married we didn't have anything like this to help. I hope you get your happily ever after. Every girl deserves her dream wedding.
