Hey guys, I am Billy, a software developer based in the Philippines who currently works with a team of entrepreneurs and fellow developers on a project we call EventBrother - an online marketplace which aims to help event suppliers connect with consumers. This project is a product of the team's vision to create a startup which would offer a viable solution to an existing business problem. The idea came from one of the team's members, James, our CEO and a part-time photographer. James works with a team of photographers and videographers (shooters, as he calls them) so he sees the twists and turns of searching for and working with a client. He contemplated on the idea of making it easy for people to look for suppliers, and vice versa. Looking at its potential, the team started building up the platform from scratch whilst dealing with other setbacks at the same time, one of which is finding a cost-effective online payment solution for our project and the business' incorporation.
We are currently in the stage of raising funds to help us continue building the product, acquire essential resources such as web servers, cloud storage solutions, payment gateways, among others, and file for government business regulations, which takes a bulk of the entire project cost. We are hopeful of the help we can get from this fundraiser to eventually launch the platform, start the business, and help make its users' lives simpler. We envision to be a successful company in the future so we can help more people, especially startup founders, who are in their early stages by becoming an inspiration for them and also eyeing to fund one soon.
