Do you love planes, I do and everything about them
Here is a way for you to be a pilot while keeping both feet on the ground..... radio controlled planes.
When I bought my first Rc plane I was absolutely impressed, that is until my first crash.
The plane was completely destroyed, and as you can imagine I was pretty upset.
The cost of these can be beyond some people’s budget.
This got me thinking, how I could make these planes for people like myself on tight incomes.
After a couple of years flying and meeting like minded people I came to a decision.
And so I now have a small workshop and intend to create my own business, and become a model maker myself.
Based in Liverpool I intend to produce high quality RC planes at low costs.
My building technique is light weight composite materials such as fibreglass carbon fibre and resin, reinforced with plywood profiles in the fuselage and wing ribs.
This requires utmost accuracy to make planes balanced with best aerodynamics and to scale shape.
For that I need only my two hands.
However for some of the more intricate parts (hinges landing gear housings and horns etc) I would need something more accurate and faster, to help keep costs down
All tools listed below would be obtained from eBay; this would keep the costs to me down.
1 - Laser Engraver Cutter engraving and cutting machine
2 - CNC 3040 MILLING / DRILLING ROUTER ENGRAVING AND ENGRAVER MACHINE
3 - Mini Metal Working Lathe 300mm
4 – Pc and software to operate laser and CNC machine
5 – materials: resin, fibreglass cloth, carbon fibre cloth, plywood... Bulk pack
