Our project is about creating a tv puppet show accessible by audiences of working age groups. It's a very personal project we've been working on for several years, but the lack of funding was always pulling us down. We hope that with your help we'll be able at last to make this dream come true!
The idea of the show is to use specially crafted professional mimicking puppets for scripted situational comedy and sketches. The themes are contemporary social problems, family situations and interpersonal relationships. When scriptwriting, wordplay jokes are avoided in order to make it more accessible in different languages. We will use composite characters of different ethnicity and traits so as not to offend a multicultural audience. By using different scenery we’ll be able to create a wide variety of situations for our characters – form a city park, to a house, to a television studio, to a hospital, to a bar. Our target audience will be people in working age, who are looking for some quality entertainment after a hard day’s work.
The show will have a weekly episodic format. Each episode will have a 15-24 minute run time.
About our organization: Theatre “Hand” is a puppet dramatisation formation established by Ivomir Ignatov – Keni in Paris – France. Hand’s aim is to popularize the styles in which the actor’s team works, namely: puppet theatre for children and adults, drama theatre, situational comedy, stand-up comedy, slapstick and street theatre. Our repertoire is mainly comedy oriented. We believe that by using laughter as an universal language our messages, though spoken in jest, are able to reach further and stay longer in the hearts of our audience. By using innovative and unique approaches we want to increase the public interest in the art of theatre. Our actors are professionals with skills and experience that will make any child or parent watch with interest and a smile.
We're gratefull for your support! :)
