Help Fund My College Dreams

My name is Anvar Akhmedov. I was born in Krasnodar, Russia. I was only 6 years old when my family decided to move to the United States to avoid the oppressive government there, seeing as we were a minority. We arrived in Utica, NY and it was very difficult for me to adapt to a new world. Due to my inability to speak English and unfamiliarity with the place, I had to work twice as hard as my classmates to reach the same academic and social standing as them.

Coming from a low-income family, I learned the value of an education very quickly. Ever since I was in middle school, I remember my mother always telling me how she couldn't wait for me to go to college and become successful so that we wouldn't have to live on food stamps anymore. All of this motivated me to excel past everyone's expectations of me. Not only did I maintain an above 4.00 GPA throughout all four years of high school, but I graduated as valedictorian with some college credits under my belt.

Unfortunately for me, it didn't matter how smart I was. I am now facing a problem that my family and I cannot bare. Bombarded with bills and having to put food on the table, my parents are horrified at the thought of taking on additional debt.

The deadline to pay for this semester's tuition costs is August 15th, 2017. With your assistance, I could relieve this enormous stress and begin focusing on my academic performance.
