Help fund Jinsky’s Spinal Cord Surgery

Jinsky Layug is a loving single mother of her 13 year old daughter Mielle, that has fallen into a very difficult situation.She was diagnosed with spinal cord edema, which is a rare chronic degenerative disorder of the spine.

She first began experiencing pain in her back on January 13th, which progressed to numbness in both legs as well as her left hand. Shortly after, she was administered a steroidal treatment to suppress blockage and inflammation of her nerves, which unfortunately was not effective. Doctors requested that she undergo an emergency ACDF (Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion at cervical 5/cervical 6 level) operation to avoid complications based on her MRI results.

The emergency operation came with a big unexpected expense at roughly 550,000 php. She has no medical insurance coverage despite attempts to acquire some and was unable to afford the monthly premium for both herself and her daughter. Because of this, she had chosen to prioritize purchasing health insurance for her daughter only.
