Help Fund Indonesian Student for Speech Competitions

I’m Nurul Zamzami, a high school senior in Indonesia. Several months ago, I discovered a merit-based scholarship sponsored by the state for high school seniors and undergraduate students who need financial help. The scholarship offers a really good deal that covers my financial needs, so I naturally plan on applying. However, one of the requirements inquired by the scholarship is certificates to show that the applicant has won one competition or more in recent years. I suppose winning competitions and the frequency of it can prove that an applicant possesses a certain skill in an academic/non academic field, therefore making the scholarship a lot more likely to be beneficial than it already would be.

In order to meet the aforementioned requirement, I need to join and win several competitions before I graduate. There are four English speech competitions that will be held within the next 2 months. Three of them will take place outside of my city, so there will also be additional cost for transportation, food, and hotel aside from the registration fees.

I’ve been learning English for twelve years, and I spent 2016-2017 in the United States for an exchange program called Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange & Study. Only being able to speak English won’t help me win, but I’m also backed up with a lot of experiences. I’ve won several English speech competitions in middle school, which is also why I choose to do it again. Your donation will allow me to compete and meet the scholarship requirements, granting me a chance to get the scholarship. Therefore, you’re indirectly helping me secure my education in the future.
