Please help us pay up some bills that are overdue and not covered by Medical Aid. Mental health is very under funded in South Africa as a whole. Add to that still trying to diagnose the cause of Hyperactive Thyroid.

All of these costs are adding up and we expect a few more related care is needed before the year is out. Please help if you can.We are trying to raise US$4800 or R50 000 (Paypal doesn't work in Rand)

Let me introduce you to Hetta. She is a dedicated wife and mother of 2 beautiful children, full time. Over the last Three Years since our daughter was born we as a family have been, what we like to term, a Hospital Family. Baby Katherine had reflux for 18months and has kidney problems. Gladly the reflux is gone and the kidneys are in recession.

Hetta took on the mother-in-hospital role very well. When we had a break from hospital we thought we were in the clear. Then Hetta's heart rate was racing unnecessarily, constant nausia and weight and hair loss. A specialist Physician diagnosed Hetta with Hyperthyroidism and tied and is still trying to pinpoint the cause of the problem. A month after initial diagnosis Hetta got a headache that lasted for 2 weeks. This was when she was admitted and was in so much danger she was placed in ICU for heart monitoring and hallucinations.

This stage with the hallucinations caused parts of her past to be brought up and it was recommended that Hetta goes to a Mental Wellness Center for concentrated psychological/psychiatric care, and here was where she was diagnosed with PTSD because of her past. This lasted all of the 21 days allocated for mental health from our Medical Aid provider. She was sent home only to be sent back 5 days later as a cash patient. It was for her own safety.

This is where the majority of the bills come to the story. The second stage in the centre lasted 12 days, all cash. Now we are all home and need to keep buying medicine and going to Therapy about once a week.

Thank you for showing interest in our case. Please help if you can.
