Campaign Story
I have been disabled since 2006, in 2006 was when I suffered my first Seizure. However back in 2003 or 2004 is when I started loosing my balance frequently, in 2012 I was diagnosed with SEVERE PTSD. Every day is a Struggle for me, things you take for granted everyday is very hard for me. Having a Service Dog will make my life so much easier for me and I can become more independent again
For many disabled people, service dogs bridge the gap of disability to ability. Service dogs help the blind, the hearing impaired, the wheel chair bound, as well as people with psychiatric disabilities. These incredible animals go through months of training that is specialized for the needs of their disabled human partner,
I am trying to raise the funds to be able to get a new service dog, so I can become more independent and work again. This is why I need to raise funds to get a potential service dog in hopes it becomes my service dog. The dog will help me with a variety of tasks that will include Balance/Brace, possible seizure alert, alerting and or calming during severe PTSD, anxiety and panic attacks. It would also be trained to pick up dropped items for me as well.
