Am Steve a professional tour guide with more than five years in Tourism and hospitality industry, My journey started from couch surfing, in 2015 where I started offering free accommodation to travelers all over the world, I hosted more than 100 travelers from different countries in my small room around town since then I didn’t stop helping travelers , https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/steven-maurice

In 2017, I founded free guided walking tours in Kampala to help all travelers experience the real Kampala by offering them walking tours, cooking classes and volunteer placements these tours are based on tips, so usually travelers tip what they can afford at end of the tour. When I brought the idea many companies copied it and now Kampala isn’t hard and expensive to explore like before .

Covid19 hit us hard and now we can’t earn a living on only free walking tours, so we would love to expand our initiative by starting offering affordable safaris around Uganda but our hindrance is a safari van that can take tourists to different destinations.

These are some of our objectives,

• To offer free guided tours all over Uganda.
• To create opportunities for volunteers internally with the organization and with already solicited local partnering entities.
• To build new local and international networks and partnerships with locally based volunteer support organization.
• To promote and advocate for economic empowerment to the slum family members, rural farmer women and communities through initiation of income generating projects to alleviate poverty.
• To organize, arrange and facilitate sustainable empowerment and financial projects which promotes the welfare of communities through community members, mothers and their children in the community so they can set up small enterprises such as poultry piggery etc.
