Please help us to get our son out of county jail & get a qualified attorney.

Cameron was 17, almost 18, when this first happened. Cameron was arrested for drugs back in January this year & we bailed him out after 6 days in jail. Unfortunately, he was re-arrested again 2 months later, and has since been in jail for over 3 months, which we as parents, should have done in the first place. During this time he has "marinated" really well & has shown much regret over all this, and needless to say, it has been a tough year for all of us as a family. We've gone thru much emotional grief & financial stress & sought many prayers from family & friends. Our son, Cameron, is the oldest of our 3 boys. He has always been a delightful & fun-loving kid while he was growing up. We all loved him dearly & still do. He's very smart & had big goals for his life. Unfortunately, Cameron began to have self-identity issues by the time he was in fifth grade. As to be expected, it got worse when he was in middle school & was bullied to no end. We tried to help & encourage him, but he thought he needed the approval of his peers & eventually found the "wrong crowd" who accepted him. This eventually led to drugs, and unknown to us, he had been doing drugs for the last five years. Obviously, as parents, we lost control of him, but we did not realize that drugs were involved until several months ago. As mentioned above, Cameron has been in jail for over 3 months now, we visit him 3 times/week to show him love & support, he also has friends from church that have been ministering to him & is attending the AA/NA meetings there in the jail. Cameron is still the same sweet-loving kid we've always known him to be. We feel like he has made a change in his heart & mind, and we are ready to get him out & live life with him as a family. He currently has no court date yet & he is still waiting to hear from his court-appointed attorney. We very much want to get him home so he can spend quality time with us as a family before the court date arrives. We plan to help him to get a job so he can help pay his legal fees & be around others that could be a positive influence on him. In the meantime, drug rehab will be arranged, either before the court date or after, depending on the circumstances. At this point, we are not able to get Cameron out because we simply do not have the money. As the mom, I work full-time as a physical therapist, and my husband is self-employed but has not been able to work for the past year due to health issues, but is always there for our boys which is a huge help for me. We literally live paycheck to paycheck & we just don't have the extra money to get Cameron out. It will cost $2500 to get him out, along with the monthly fees of $500 for the next six months, and we would love to get our own attorney. We would very much appreciate whatever you may be able to contribute. Once we get him out he is going to start outpatient rehab and start working so he can go to trade school.

We have never done fund-raising before, and if this really works, we would be forever grateful. We love & miss Cameron so much & we want him home. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts & may God bless you.
