My brother Frank Loonen had a stroke February 11, 2014 while in Cumbria for work. He has been in a hospital, requiring his stay at home wife, Stacey and our dad to stay in hotels every night. The effects of the stroke caused him to lose the ability to use the right side of his body. He will require extensive physical therapy to help with the recovery process. Now that he has undergone multiple surgeries, his condition has been stabilized and he will be transferred home to Newcastle for inpatient therapy. This will require his wife and family to travel back and forth daily to assist him during his treatment for an unforeseen amount of time. This fundraiser will help his wife with hotel fees, travel and medical bills that are not covered by the NHS.   We are confident that many will join the campaign to provide the financial resources needed to help us overcome the hardship and devastation of this situation. We are asking that you look to your own situation and be as generous as you possibly can. We know it is not easy. Our goal is to keep this campaign up until February 28th 2015 which would have been Frank’s 32nd birthday. Any amount donated to this campaign will be appreciated.
