In life, there are unexpected events that can greatly change everything. In our case, it is the Acute Motor Sensory Axonal Neuropathy (AMSAN), which is said to be a rare and severe variant of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS).

As average people, we don't have an idea of how impacting GBS syndrome is, not until we've seen it in our own eyes and felt my sister's agony as she endure the unbearable pain in her spinal area, the frustration in loosing the senses from her toes moving upward to her waist, arms, fingers and face. Much worse is losing the strength to sit, stand, and walk on her own. Now, she's in the phase of GBS of no longer having the strength to lift her arms and move her head, even simple nodding.

We, the family, loveones, and friends, can only do is to hold back our tears to not show weakness while holding on to us to get the strength and courage as she fight the suffering pain of GBS.

As of this writing, we are on the 8th day of this fight against GBS syndrome. From being rushed to emergency care to the room confinement and for the recent 5 days, staying here in the ICU, not only the cost of medication but also the hospital bills are spiking up tremendously. Her intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) treatment is like a gold -- high in value and price.

As the experts also say, this is a long fight. It is a long battle not only of will and endurance of ours and patient's mind, body, soul, and spirit, but greatly the expenses that the treatment, rehabilitation, and hospital charges that it will incurr.

We are continuously praying that her muscles and nerves all over the body can now start moving on their own, so her status may shift from critical to recovery phase soon.

We are also continuously seeking ways and means to raise funding for hospital bill payments, IVIG treatment, and other medications to support her body to prevent any other complications and diseases, as well as funds for her rehabilitation medicine, to fully bring her back in good shape and continue her normal life.

Thankfully, we've found out about the gogetfunding website. And here I am now. On behalf of my whole family, I've created this fundraising as another means in helping our sister cope up with all the expenses. We hope and pray for your support in this campaign, and from the bottom of my heart, I thank you all for taking the time to read about our situation and thank you in advance for your financial aid. God bless you all!

You started having the a nasal oxygen cannula, then transitioned to a Bi-Pap machine where you have been exhausted for days, until it got switched to intubation. Two weeks after, you have been advised for tracheostomy, which now shows better improvement in your breathing condition. The critical stage is over,. . . . .

Sis, continue to push yourself and focus your mind in recovering your strength. The ventilation tube that is placed through your throat is more than 2 weeks already so the next step they told us is the tracheostomy procedure -- to preserve your vocal cords from any harm of using. . . . .

We are truly grateful for all the donors that shared their financial support. It sadden us to know that after the continuous explanation in PayPal for every transaction that went through from here to our linked PayPal account, the access to the funds are blocked. We advise the succeeding donors. . . . .
