Campaign Story
First, a little background info:
We have a friend, Darrell, who has survived cancer twice, once when he was in his 30's and again recently (he is 52 now). In both cases, he was dealing with a type of throat cancer. Thankfully, his prognosis seems positive overall at this point, although he will likely require another esophageal surgery down the road sometime in upcoming months.
I have known Darrell for many years, and he's one of the hardest workers I have ever met. He is my landscaping/mowing/yardwork guy.
Because of his medical setbacks, he has fallen behind on his truck payment for several months and his business taxes. If we cannot collect the funds, he will probably lose his truck and be forced to close the business he owns which provides jobs for a couple of other people as well.
Needless to say, this is a small amount to help a sincere, hardworking man to keep his business and life on track.

Update - Truck is safe for now
Update posted by Jason Crouch at 04:28 pmDetailed update on our fundraiser: I spoke today with the financing company for our friend's truck, and I paid enough to keep them from repossessing the vehicle this month ($1085). There are still late fees to the tune of $561 which can be paid later, but I asked them to. . . . .
