HELP FOR SYRIA

Hi Everyone,

Im starting this campaign to try to help some of the suffering people in Syria and Palestine, I have never done anything like this and was hesitant about doing it since I normally do these things on the quite, but this time im trying to do something bigger than what I can do alone.

Many of you might not know what Ramadan is, but it is a holy month where muslims fast from sunrise to sunset, your also supposed to do good things like pray, give to charity, help people etc. At the end of Ramadan is something called EID, which is basically like Christmas. People normally go out and buy new clothes have feasts, dinners invite people over its a big party.

For the people in these countries though they can’t do that. Many of them now don’t have families because they’ve been killed. These people are living in dirt. They don’t have homes because they’ve been destroyed. Imagine when were thirsty can go grab some water, for them they can’t do that simply because most of them don’t have access to food or water. This ramadan we whine about being thirsty etc but they’ve been thirsty. They don’t have any food so after fating for 16-18 hours they have no food to break fast with. Some simply don’t have enough food, they have say 7 kids but only enough food for 3 people. These sanctions are going to provide them with boxes that are filled with food, water, snacks, toys, clothes, everything they would need. These poor kids live in constant fear of being bombed or someone in their family being killed, for some its there whole family that been killed.

They don’t have the luxury of being able to learn and go to school, or just to go out and go play with their friends, their either hiding or staying out and being bombed. Their whole lives the only thing they’ve known is the sound of bombs, planes, missiles, crying people dying, so if for even one day we can do something to help them feel like kids thats amazing, we spend money on anything clothes, going to lunch, dinner, phones, etc so any donation helps.

The organization I work with is in the process of building small schools, clinics, homes, and whatever else they need. IU would like to have something raised by June 15th because that is eid but the more we can raise the best, so that we can contribute. These kids and the people in general have done nothing to deserve what they go through. Nobody deserves to live like that. Anything helps whether its $1 or $100. I hope you’ll all join me in trying to help them.
